Booking and Cancellation Policy
These terms set out how bookings, payments, cancellations and participation are managed for Adventure Northumberland Ltd. Nothing here is designed to remove your statutory rights.

1. Booking and Payment
To secure your place, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Bookings can be made securely online or by phone.
Adventure Northumberland Ltd reserves the right to charge the full amount for no-shows or cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled activity date.
2. Cancellations by You
If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please notify us as soon as possible by email or phone.
Rescheduling or refunds are managed in line with the terms set out below:
- More than 14 days: reschedule or cancel (20% admin fee retained)
- 7–14 days: reschedule or receive a gift voucher
- Less than 7 days: no changes or refunds
- No-shows: non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled
3. Cancellations or Changes by Us
In the unlikely event that Adventure Northumberland Ltd must cancel your activity, you will receive a full refund or be offered the option to transfer to an alternative date or activity (subject to availability).
We are not responsible for losses arising from circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather, sea state, tide conditions, safety considerations or access restrictions.
We may adjust start times, routes, venues or the order of activities where necessary to ensure safety and the best possible experience.
4. Insurance and Safety
Adventure Northumberland Ltd holds full public liability insurance.
Adventure activities involve inherent risk. Our insurance does not cover those inherent risks or participant negligence.
Participants are encouraged (but not required) to hold personal accident insurance.
All participants must follow guide instructions. Routes and venues may change due to sea or weather conditions.
5. Alcohol, Drugs and Behaviour
We reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
No refund will be given in these circumstances.
Participants behaving in an unsafe or disruptive manner may be removed from the activity.
6. Parental Consent
Participants under 18 must have written parental or guardian consent.
Consent forms must be completed in advance unless the parent or guardian is participating.
7. Voucher Terms
- Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue
- Vouchers are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash
- It is the holder’s responsibility to book before expiry
- Expired vouchers are void unless extended (admin fee may apply)
- If we cancel, vouchers will be extended at no cost
- Failure to attend renders the voucher invalid
Statutory rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under English law, including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
