Family Kayaking – Harbour & Reefs
A kayaking session created specifically for families with children. Adults take part alongside younger paddlers while we use games, challenges and simple coaching to build confidence near the harbour and nearby reefs.
Adult-only groups should choose one of our dedicated coastal journeys, such as Dunstanburgh Castle, Cullernose Point or the Howick full-day trip.
A family kayaking session, not an adult coastal journey
Harbour & Reefs is designed for adults bringing children kayaking. The session stays close to the harbour and nearby reefs, giving younger paddlers time to become comfortable while adults participate alongside them.
We focus on family fun, teamwork, confidence and useful paddling skills rather than covering distance. The pace and activities are planned around younger participants.
Are you an adult group without children?
This is not the best session for you. Our adult coastal trips offer more journey, scenery and time exploring the coast.
