Kayaking for Schools and Youth Groups
The shoreline at Craster is peppered with small coves and gullies and a majestic Castle. Our kayak adventures for schools and youth groups, take us from the harbor into the area inside Muckle and Little Carr, where we teach you to paddle the kayaks and then play a host of fun-filled games, all of which are intended to promote confidence and learning.
When do we offer Kayaking?
For schools and youth groups, we offer a choice of start times to suit you. We offer Kayaking from May till the end of September.
Discounts
We offer discounted leader spaces and a further discount for groups over 24. This is auto-calculated for you if you book online.
How many can we accommodate in a session?
Session numbers are dictated by the number of boats available. Most of our fleet are tandem kayaks, we can get 2 adults or 3 under 12s on a boat, ideally 2 per boat though.
Administration
Adventure Northumberland are AALA registered and fully insured for school activities. Our AALA Licence, Insurance and Risk Assessments can be downloaded from our website.
We will also complete Local Authority forms that your authority may require.
Equipment
We supply your wetsuits and all safety equipment.
You will need to bring socks and shoes that you are happy to get wet as well as a swimsuit for under your wetsuit and a towel to dry off afterwards. How to Book
Please contact us first to ensure we have sufficient spaces, we will then release the requested date for you to book online or send you an invoice if you prefer not to pay online.
Alternatively, we can raise an invoice for payment in full. Full payment must be made 2 weeks in advance at which point final numbers must be agreed.
